An hour

Had a family crisis so left the river after about an hour. the flows were up a little to around 150ish cfs and the water a little stain to it but was almost perfect. caught one fish and moved a handful of others. sucked to have to leave early but so be it

Low stillwater

Took one of my kids out to a semi local reservoir, mainly to get him out of the house. the water was pretty damn low and there was no shortage of action. we moved a lot of fish but there were very few eats. i caught 2 small splake and austin lost one fish on  a rapala. when then left and drove over to another reservoir that was about 40 minutes away from the one we were at, fished it for about an hour till his reel broke, then we called it and came home. it was good to get him out since he hardly leaves the house.

Fallish

Got to the river at the butt crack of dawn. the colors are slowly starting to change in the lower elevations and we even had some morning fog coming off on the river. matt did happen to catch a smallie which was only the 3rd ive ever seen out of that river. the fishing wasnt anything spectacular but its refreshing now that the summer heat is gone

A nice float

Went over to Pocatello to help my buddy dbone to make different flavors of dubbing to be packaged and sold, it was a pretty cool process to see. the next morning we drove over to Twin Falls and met up with dbones buddies and took a 14 mile float down the S.F. Snake. the fishing pretty much sucked as far as fish goes but we did move a few, caught plenty of 8-10 inch fish but at least the float was nice. a storm blew in during our last mile so at least the weather held off.

Something different

Decided to forego trout and chase musky/bass instead. unfortunately i did not get into any musky but did manage to get into a few Smallmouths. the weather was perfect, the water was low, a few fish were interested and the morning started with a banger sunrise . made for a decent day on the water.

A few AM hours

Met matt extra early this time to get a head start on the competition. the morning was chilly but the water was surprisingly comfy. flows were still a tad high but certainly doable. the fishing sucked for the 1st 3/4 of the morning with only a couple fish seen. i finally did manage a good fish just before we were finished. its tough enough when the fishing is slow but throw in higher flows and that equals an extremely draining day
