Doin a little dirty

The family was out of town for  the  holidays so i got to play bachelor. it was bad ass. usually around turkey day is when i will start to head to the rivers to see if by chance the browns were done farting around on the redds. i went out on turkey day to go see how things are doing. the flows said 80cfs but when i showed up the flows looked more like 20-30 cfs. i think maybe i was not paying enough attention and looked at the run waters, as far as 80cfs goes. anyway my plan was to target the big holes hoping that fish were done with the spawn and moving into deep slow water to start their recovery. the holes were full of fish and most of the redds were vacant. there were a few that had some fish but im pretty sure they were just hanging out and not spawning. anyway the fishing wasnt that spectacular. there were some fish that were willing to eat but i really had to do a lot of indicator adjustments so as to avoid snagging the unsuspecting, non eating fish. the weather was pretty damn good and i caught some fish so it was all good except for the fact that with about 4 holes left i snapped the top section of my rod. at that point i was definitely done. oh well shit happens. its exactly how i used to spend all the holidays when i was single, fishing. sniffle sniffle
