Logun came over and 3 of us headed over to strawberry res. but didnt find much fishable water yet and what we did find was littered with people. after a couple hours of shit we drive over to lake canyon and that was a shit show as well. never seen it so busy, windier then hell and 1 small fish between us. we decided to try our luck on some moving water. it certainly fished better but still a little slow.
but i finally got into some more wipers. i had forgotten how strong they are. kept my limit to make some fish tacos.
Drove a couple hours away to check out ice of on the berry, it was still pretty unfishable. i then drove over to another lake and it was even more locked up. i then decided just to head back towards home and try and find a free spot on the river somewhere. as luck would have it the spot on the river i was hoping for was still open so i jumped in. it fished pretty well and the weather was really nice
Got off work at 2pm and headed to the river. the flows were good and so was the fishin. i was freezing cold and only fished for about an hour and a half, but caught a shit ton of fish.
Sam came over at 5am and we loaded up the jeep and hit the road. on the way to our destination we took a detour and drove as far up the pinnacles as we could, i wanted to get a look. we got to the ponds and there wasnt a soul around. the weather was great but the fishing was garbage again.
