Dropped flows

wanted to take a look at the water since, according to the gauge stations the flows were dropping. me and matt up there after work and the flows have certainly come down, to much in my opinion. i left work early and hit a lower section before meeting up with matt. it sucked. the fishing wasnt that good for me and matt either but matt did land this under weight 22 incher. it was a tad thin but was still a stud fish.i also landed a fish that as i was taking some snaps it started regurgitating out  5 inch brown

The hatch was on

Went camping last wknd with some of the family. was able to get out for a few hours on saturday. caddis were coming off pretty thick, along with a couple different species of mayfly, some little stones and some green drakes. i didnt hear any cicadas at the time but i threw a double dry set up, a cicada up front followed by a green drake. the fishing was lights out, especially on the drake. i did muster a couple smaller fish on the cicada though. it was a phenomenal 3 hours.

A nice day for a cruise

Got to the lake at about 930am with high hopes. the weather was beautiful, the sun was out and no wind. we spent all day cruising around various coves and did move a handful of musky, including a couple in the 40 inch range but couldnt get any eats. we did have a minor hiccup when the battery for the big motor died so we have to use the trolling motor to track another boat down and get a jump. off the water about 8pm

In search of cicadas

And managed to find 3. im guessing its only a few days off till they are in full hatch. i was actually hoping to catch them hatching but couldnt find any shucks or cicadas in the process. since i was right there in the area, i continued up the road to porcupine res and fished for about an hour to no avail
