Post turkey day wknd

As i usually do on the wknd after turkey day, i picked a piece of to evaluate the spawn situation. the browns are generally about done at this point in these parts. as i figured the fishing sucked which it usually does this close to the end of the spawn. will take a couple weeks to start moving more fish, at least with streamers. had a few chases but only caught 1 small fish. as i expected.

Back up to the berry

I headed out solo so had the opportunity to bounce when i wanted to. had stuff to do at home so it was nice to pick and choose when i headed home. anyway got there and the weather was overcast with a trace of snow on the ground there.  i fished the bay but the water is pretty low and that spot did not fish well. only caught one average fish and got hit once. the end

Berry run

Me and matt drove over to the berry for some fall stillwater cutts. the morning was much warmer then the afternoon. i had 6 before matt had 1 but we finished 6-3

Fall colors

We headed out to hit the water for a few hours. the water has gotten quite a bit ;lower over the last week or two. the levels and the fish have started to gear up for the spawn. the fish were tight lipped this morning

Post irrigation

Irrigation has finally been cut off. i went to check out a short section like i frequent when time is at an essence. landed a couple average fish and but saw a couple of bigger fish. getting cold

Whatta finish

Me and matt had fished up a pretty good section of river but it did not fish very well. after a few hours we decided to call it a day and make the walk out. on our way out  matt spotted a fish chilling in the middle of the river column. matt made one cast at it with his streamer and the big boy ate. taped at 25 inches. a helluva way to finish the day.

Browns are still aggressive

Me and matt went to a usual spot and although the fishing wasnt overly good, once we got to our take out spot, matt had to bail early, we finally got into a good fish or two.
