since the rivers are currently shot around my neck of the woods i drove over to a different river and a lake in that area. that river was also blown and the lake is still froze over except the left finger which always seems to thaw 1st. when i was up high and over looking the lake i noticed that someone had gone to the center of the lake and had written in giant letters, FUCK JOE BIDEN. comical. fished a small section of the thawed stuff but saw or felt nothing
Well for at least an hour or 2. went out at 0700 and found a little piece all to myself. the weather was warm for march annd although the fishing wasnt as good as last time there, the fish were still moving just not as many and no bigger ones. still a fun morning
I had plans to fish with matt and logun in idaho but i had to bail on that one. with our local waters being dirty lately and me not wanting to drive any distance, i geared up anyway and decided to drive around and see if i could find anything fishable. i found some water that was low and not quite as dirty as everything i saw so i decided to give it a go. ive had good fish days there in dirty water before so i was optimistic. fished for about 3 hrs. the 1st hr and a half were insane, saw several big fish, moved 30-40 fish and landed about 1/2 of those including my biggest of the year so far at 23 inches. the last hour and half or so only saw a few fish. it really kind of trickled off. was a killer few hours overall.
