A couple hours at the pool

...Which is basically what the reservoir has been reduced to, hell is some spots we were able to walk out, what seemed liked about 100 yards before hitting water. anyway the fishing didnt amount to anything but a roughly, 14 inch tiger musky. it was obviously not the fish i was hoping for but it is what it is.

fighting the vegetation

there is still a shit load of vegetation choking up the river but this section at least had some water moving and some open waters. the wading was a bitch due to all the salad still in the river but i made my way thru. the fishing was pretty decent but the fish seemed to have skipped the buttery goodness stage and went right to the dark spawner looking stage.

Up the Rocky Road

Took some of the family up in the uintas for some fresh air. of course the weather didnt hit us until right when we got to the lake and it was off and on till we got off the lake. one minute it was warm and sunny with no wind, then it would get windy and rainy then hot and sunny then hail and so on and so on, typical fall mountain weather. i wanted to hit one of the other lakes just a short walk from the one i was already fishing, i chose to get the family out of the weather instead/ caught 3 brookies but nothing with any color.

Still Slow

hit the river up for a few hours and unfortunately the streamer bite still has not picked up, at least not in that section. hopefully it will soon enough though.

Some Stillwater Stuff

Was part of a  man crew that ventured out for a little still watering. it was nipply cold in the morning while gearing up but the long walk quickly warmed us all up. it was not a spectacular day by any means but it was semi consistent. through out the day, cutties and rainbows were eating chironomids, streamers, leeches, mice and i even had an eat on my indicator. there and back was, im guessing, around 10 to 12 miles. it felt so good to get back to the vehicles and get out of all that gear. it ws a fun day for sure.

Some Butterybadassness

Met up with dbone at 7am for a semi early start. i had to be at work by 4 so i needed to be on the water early. for the mile mile or so it was uneventful but then we found the fish. fished it for awhile and cleaned house

Chucking a Variety

Me and corey made a couple hour drive to some private ranch access that i have. the water was in great shape and the weather was perfect. the fish werent overly active but we managed a decent number of fish, nothing big but a couple of decent ones. i got a couple small cutts on a double chubby, corey caught a few on streamers and we both mustered a good number on mice. we gave them a variety of presentations to choose from and they all produced.
