Spring Weather

Dbone came up for streamer fishing. when we got started it was cold and snowing pretty good. next came the sun and warmer temp's. then was the cold and rain and the day finished with blowing wet snow. thru it all the fishing was pretty good. for a fairly short day it was pretty good. even landed a few decent fish but as what happens quite often the big boys that we moved wouldn't fully commit to the fly, lots of swipes.

Had monday off so off i went. the day was going pretty well until some ass clown popped up out of no where and high holed the shit out of me until i called it a day. he did some serious trespassing to pop out where he did and get ahead of me.

A Very Generous Cut-Back

I am in class all week for my job but today our instructor was tasked to babysit some middle schoolers that were having a field trip to the school so after an hour of class we were sent home for the day. no problem for me as the water is always calling my name. i hit an upper section but water was more like mid  summer flows. managed a couple but the flows were to low so i went down further where water was more abundant. fishing was slow down river as well but a little better.  it was certainly better then sitting in class bored to tears.

My Church

Jake and i drove off to get a taste of something different the other day. the fishing was a bit slow, it had it's moments and the weather was decent for over there. jake nymphed most of the day and i threw meat most of the day. jake caught a few more then me, in fact i only moved 2 fish but luckily landed both. i ended up with a 19" 'bow' and a 20" brown. not bad be we were hoping to pull something a couple inches bigger.
