Another drop in flows

Post rain
After a full day/night of heavy rains the moving stuff shot up, of course but the next day they were on the decline and at fishable levels. met matt at a spot that had fished pretty well for me the last 2 wknds so we chose to check it out again. unfortunately, even the flows were fishable the clarity i think fucked it up for us. the fish werent interested or it couldve been just that the fish were thrown off due to the sudden spike in flows, i think it was the clarity though. we fished another section as well where the flows came up but there was still a substantial amount of vegetation in the river. we got into a few fish there including i bigger fish that matt caught

Fish are turning
Was able to get out on my day off. the flows were perfect and the water was pretty clear, but not crystal. it was solid conditions. the fish were into it starting with my 1st run and it didnt slow down till i called it on account of lightning. made the long walk back and of course once i was back to my jeep the weather started to break. oh well it was a good morning

Another stillwater day
Got up way to bright and early so that me and matt could get to the res before the sun came up in hopes of a good mouse bite. it wasnt and once the sun came up i was already on streamers. matt stuck with mice a while longer but eventually switched. the fishing itself sucked really bad but with the low water and lots of vegetation on or near the surface, that did not help. was a nice sunrise though.

An hour
Had a family crisis so left the river after about an hour. the flows were up a little to around 150ish cfs and the water a little stain to it but was almost perfect. caught one fish and moved a handful of others. sucked to have to leave early but so be it

Low stillwater
Took one of my kids out to a semi local reservoir, mainly to get him out of the house. the water was pretty damn low and there was no shortage of action. we moved a lot of fish but there were very few eats. i caught 2 small splake and austin lost one fish on a rapala. when then left and drove over to another reservoir that was about 40 minutes away from the one we were at, fished it for about an hour till his reel broke, then we called it and came home. it was good to get him out since he hardly leaves the house.

Fallish
Got to the river at the butt crack of dawn. the colors are slowly starting to change in the lower elevations and we even had some morning fog coming off on the river. matt did happen to catch a smallie which was only the 3rd ive ever seen out of that river. the fishing wasnt anything spectacular but its refreshing now that the summer heat is gone
