Another couple of local hours

Went out solo for a short few. got into a good number of fish right off the bat then it fizzled for awhile before the river finally coughed up a few more. didnt land anything big but did miss a real nice one but it did not eat. again the weather was great. came acrossed a dead beaver, damn those things are big

A little bump in flows

Went out to check the river and see if it was fishable. it was and so i ventured out for a couple of hours. got into quite a few fish early on then it slowly fizzled out but i after it slowed down i did miss, twice, a fish that wouldve competed for my fish of the year, but it never ate. was a great weather day

Not one of the usual spots

Every once in a great while when i did to throw a different section in my mix i will hit this stretch and fish up to a certain point. this was the best its fished for me, to date. got into a good amount of fish including a couple of studs but i couldnt get them to eat. i didnt land a couple of handfuls with one of them being a solid 19". the weather was great and it was nice to not have to wear a coat, a hoodie was plenty 

Another drop in flows

this time of year you have to expect the flows to bounce around when the temps warm up and the  snow/ice start to melt, then refreeze, then melt again. anyway the flows came down a good amount but the water had a nice greenish tint in then deeper spots. it was a pretty good day fish wise, they were active and on it. most of the fish being in the 15-16 inch range but i did muster a couple of bigger ones. the weather was dynamite

Aways away

Got invited to fish with matt and logun and as much as i am not a big fan of that place, i chose to go anyway since i only get out there maybe twice a year. the weather really made the shitty fishing miserable. supposedly 40mph gusts, blowing rain and snow. my rain jacket did not do so well and i was cold and wet down to the very bottom layer. logun caught a couple small fish (for there) and neither me or matt caught a damn thing

 

More of the same

Meaning, low winter flows and streamers. the fishing started off promising up to the point where i expected it to pick up. instead it pretty much shut down which was very disappointing. got into a handful of fish, landing a few of them
