My best fish of the year

 was supposed to fish some stillwater with nate and dbone but that fell through so i got ahold of matt and we hit the river. morning started off great with me landing my biggest of the year on the 4th cast of the morning. matt nailed a solid fish in the next run, then it sucked for a couple hours but we managed to wrangle a few more way up high before making the long ass walk back down the river

Local

 My daughter had just left back to her home at around 0800. by 0900 i was on the water with matt. the catching was so so but we both had our chances at some real nice fish but did not execute.

A couple of morning hours

was on the water at around 9am. got a later start since i had planned on throwing dries. after fishing a little piece of water with no success i drove lower and also had zero success. i was off the water by noon.

 

The ponds

Myself and matt took a drive south to a series of ponds. they haven't fished very well for me lately but this time it fished pretty decent. all our fish were on dries except maybe one. it was mostly browns but i pulled a nice little rainbow and a nice little tiger. 

Pineview

Went out in the morning for a couple hours, till the boats churned up the shoreline. came acrossed one dead and floating musky, bout a 30 incher. i got eaten by something that looked in  the 18-20 inch range so it was probably either a small musky or a nice bass. had it on till it broke water a 2nd time, still could not figure out what it was. did land a small musky though. i catch small fish

The Lower

Me and matt took a drive north and hit the lower section of the creek. the weather was good but it was definitely the worst i have ever seen it fish we got a few on streamers and a couple on dries but it was not a good fish day for sure

A trip south (Duck fork)

 Swung by chris's and we took a little drive south. everything looked good driving to the lake although rain was forcasted. as we arrived at the lake there was some darkness above in the close proximity. on the water about 30 minutes or so and the rains came, then the thunder and lightning. we took shelter in the truck for a few to see if the storms would move on. they did not and it just continued to dump. it was time to call it and chock it up as a fishing lose. beautiful area though.
