My day off

After i dropped off alanna at school i drove straight to the river. it wasnt till about an hour and a half before i got into any fish. started with a small planter rainbow but then in a hole where ive only caught 2 fish before, i landed a solid 20" buck. i only fished up to a certain point cause there was another piece of water i had to checkout again. i was hopeful

but only mustered an 18" hen. blah!

A small sample

fished up this tiny little creek about a 1/2 mile. i had heard a few years back that it fished decently for some decent little trout. wellp fast forward to today and aside from a much bigger fish that i kicked up, all i saw were slabs in the 2-3 inch range.

Some after work stuff

Met up with gerald again for a couple of hours after work. it was pretty uneventful for the both of us with me catching the only fish between us and it wasnt even a good fish, but it did get me off of the

3 sections of poor production

Met up with gerald. the 1st section the water was in great shape but we could not locate hardly any fish, we went to section #2 and the flows were super low with minimal exposed water thru all the vegetation. after that we kind of went different ways. my 3rd section was my most productive but i got high holed in the 1st hour of fishing it so i called it a day.

....the fish that is. 2 days ago it was lights out but today i had a hard time finding any fish. i fished 2 different sections and in the 2nd sections i mustered a few small fish.

Irrigation is finally done for the year

Its been a few days since the flows leveled out. the water had a little stain, but it was perfect for throwing streamers. the fish were on from the get go but it took me awhile before i could keep one on, but when i did it was one after another. fun couple of hours on the water

Gotta make time for the lake

Myself and matt met up with dbone and jake to get in some lake time. the weather was great aside from the wind, which did not even make an attempt to let up. the temps werent to bad and the sun was out most of the day. the fishing was slow with only about a dozen fish between the 4 of us. the expectations were high but the fish were not having it. leeches, mice and streamers all pulled fish
