Dirty Waters

Me and Matt took a drive to give a section of water one last run for the summer. storms have become pretty frequent the last couple of weeks and when we got to the water it was pretty dam brown. we tossed around some ideas for a plan B and decided just to drive upstream and hope for the best. we did finally get above the really dirty shit and found some water that was at least fishable, still a bit dirty but we decided to give it a go. as the morning went on it seemed to clear a little but in the end we were kicked off by lightning and some more rain. the fishing was slow but we still got into some fish including a few good fish.

We got to our spot first thing in the morning. usually we start lower then end up in the spot we showed up to later in the day so not sure if it made any difference but the fishing was not as good as the previous couple of times. we had decided this time to start there and just fish our way up till we were done. we fished a good couple  miles up and did come acrossed some nice fish most were a bit smaller but it was still a good day with good company

Camping with some fishing

 Took one of my boys out camping over the weekend. we took a drive to the northslope and although to end up camping where i had in mind we had to drive to the next watershed over and finally found a spot that didnt have the shade we were hoping for but was right on the river so 1 out of 2 aint bad. weather was good till saturday early morning at 0045 i woke up tp our tent cover blown off and it sprinkling on me. got it taken care of and the weather stopped shortly after. i did get out for about 3hrs to toss some dries. mostly small cutthroat but did land a much better fish at about 14". was a good weekend.
