Cruised down the road for a quick morning. threw a cicada, hopper and a mouse. the mouse gave me some excitement for about an hour but the other 3 hours were crap. only landed a couple

The slope
Took a solo drive to the mountains to look at some running water. the weather started off perfectly and the fishing did not disappoint. that is until a storm started coming in. wind, clouds, a little lightning and a little rain. the fishing did die down once the storm came in but until then it was lights out for small cutts and brookies

Another option
Me and matt drove over to the ranch that i have access on. it was still a little high so we drove another hour and a half to finally find some fishable water. higher up on the stream the water was clear and much smaller. a storm was brewing but stayed off of us till we were about 20 min on the road heading home. i wanted to throw dries but the weather just wasnt dry conducive. i did manage one eat on a cicada but that fish was quickly unpinned. streamers were the ticket for some cutties and browns
