....for the wipers for me. the water is still low and clarity is pretty good. there was a little chop on the water but not much. threw several different color clousers on and with a pink/white clouser landed a largemouth and that was it

Family morning

Well at least my wife and one kid. i told my daughter, weather depending that i would take her fishing this weekend. well my wife surprised by wanting to go as well. she hasnt come out with me for over a year. the rain stayed away and the weather held up nicely. the fishing was slow but i got into a few and my daughter had the opportunity to play a couple and land them so it was all good.

No wipers yet

I know its way early in the season but i still the chance of getting into something. i want the wipers but was happy catching a couple of largemouths and one of them on my first cast

First sign of ice off

Myself, matt and chris took a 4 hour jaunt with news of the ice being mostly off. when we arrived in the morning we were still pretty limited on open water but as the day progressed most all of the ice, except in the middle of the res, had melted off. the weather was absolutely perfect but of course the water was still very cold. although the fishing was pretty dam good, we didnt encounter any of the bigger fish (mid 20's) and a lot of our fish were missing fins. fucking hatchery fish. a bonus to the day was that matt's daughter packed us some lunch. it was still a fantastic day.

Spring has arrived

Or at least the  fish are acting like it. i had one the best days ive had in a few years. it snowed on me most of the day and the morning was a bit chilly but the fish were extremely active. moved a few fish that were 20+  with a couple of 20's to hand

. in all i got into probably 40-50 fish and landed almost 20. was an extremely kick ass day.

Took a day off

Had an appt in the morning and contemplated going back to work afterwards but decided on taking a vacation day and hit the river. the weather was good but the fishing was very slow for the first half of my day but then the rains came and the fishing seem to kick into gear. got into quite a few fish but didnt land anything sizeable.

Spring is well on its way

Myself, gerald and matt meet up on the river. we fished a little ways up and came acrossed a whole bunch of new no trespassing signs all over.we back tracked our way back out and drove up stream aways. the water was low but looked pretty good. it produced a good amount of fish but any of the big ones that we saw we diid not hook up with. all day with 16-18 inch fish

A short day

got out with nate and got into a few fish. all in all the fishing sucked but the weather

was good
