My first musky of the year?

Nope! we got on the lake around 430pm and cruised around for a couple of hours. with looking for musky gerald saw some carp tails so veered off subject for a minute and landed a carp. storm was coming in so we bounced.

Tale of 2 visits

Hooked up with Gerald in the morning. it was good fishing weather with some rain coming down and no one else around. the fishing was incredibly slow though with gerald landing a couple and me only seeing a couple of fish. i left after we fished that section but gerald went to a different location. i got house work done and he railed some nice fish. at about 8pm i was chomping at the bit to head back out and throw some mice. mousing was were it was at. i only landed a few but saw some real nice fish. i was happy with how that last hour and a half of light turned out.

Took Ali out for a couple hours

I went out for some evening mouse casting practice with Ali in tow. her friends couldnt play so she wanted to join me. just fished a short little piece and managed only 1 fish with the mouse. i missed a few as always but am happy anytime i can land a fish on a mouse.

Early evening

After the wife went to work i headed out for a couple of hours. the fishing was decent with a few decent fish to be had. i switched to a mouse for the last run and missed a small fish and i missed a really nice looking brown. had him hooked for a moment then that moment was gone.

went in search of wipers but only mustered this smallmouth. well at least i didnt get skunked. alanna was hot and asked if she could get in the water, so i let here wade along the shore a bit.

Back to my preferred target

After work i swung by the river for just a quick looksie. i hit it for a little over an hour and it was stupid. landed 8 and saw many others
