Memorial wknd

It went like this, my 5th cast of the day i landed a really nice 35 inch tiger musky, then the 4 of us were shut out the rest of the day.

Throwing the bigger stuff

After i dropped off my daughter at the airport i might up with dbone at the lake to chase some toothy ones. the weather was great for about the first hour then a storm started making its way over the mountains and it got nasty windy and the water was white capping. i landed one tiger musky that measured a behemoth 17ish inches. somebody has to catch the small ones and i guess that person is me. my last 2 have been about that size

Happy for Shayne

Shayne was able to get into and land some fish today. Dbone joined us and we chucked steamers all day and it was a pretty productive day. the weather was great all day and the water was beautiful.

Out with Shayne

We havent had much opportunity to get out while shayne is here but we did manage a couple of hours. the water is still high but at least fishable now

Alanna wanted to fish again

So i took her back out to the lake. unfortunately the fishing was very slow. 1 lost and 1 caught was all that went on.

Chasing the toothy ones

The morning started with just me and Dakota but Matt caught up to us around 10ish. right off the bat i had a big boy follow my offering right up to me but he did not eat. we covered a couple of miles of shore line with a handful of follows between the 3 of us. matt did a have a brief hook up with a musky but quickly lost it and also as we were getting ready to get out and making a few more casts, matt got into a nice smallie and that was the only fish of the day.

Another couple of hours

After i picked up Ali from school we headed to the lake for a couple of hours. the bite was definately not one and we only mustered 1 wiper and a small mouth. Ali got really bored so i we left.

Alanna getting it done

my 8 year old loves to fish. we've worked on her casting but its gonna be a minute before she can handle that one the water. as for now i hook the fish, get the line on the reel then let her finish the fight and land them. she absolutely loves it. today she got her first couple of wipers.

Wipers

went out with the hopes of getting into another wiper or 2, ended up landing 13 of them so i was plenty stoked.
