I told my daughter that i was gonna take her fishing and i let her decide where we were heading. we went to the big res. it was breezy as soon as we got there, around (9ish). the wind continued to increase all day, we only made it about 3hrs until it was white capping and just to much work. i did land 3 skinny cutts of about the 18" variety. i also did move a handful and the 1st one i moved was the biggest i saw at the 2 footer range.

Day 2 with Chou
We changed it up and kept it local this time. instead of the stillwater he hit the river hoping to catch some browns before they posted up on their beds. we only saw one potential bed and it was vacant. the flows had just come up the day before and so i was hopeful of a killer day. it was a decent day but not quite what i was hoping for. it was still a good visit from brian as always.

Yearly visit
Brian Chou came down for what has become a yearly visit. he has a work conference each October
and so he flies down a couple days early and we fish. the first day Matt joined us and we took a stroll to the lake, only to get our asses handed to us. we covered a shit down of shoreline just to get skunked, but the company and the weather were really good.

Foggy day
Not only foggy but my first day of the cold season that i had to deal with freezing cold hands, frozen waders and iced up guides. not sure im quite ready for the cold. we were really optimistic for a killer day but unfortunately it proved to be a sub par day with only a few to hand. it was one of the worst that section has ever fished for me. it was however a killer day for photos, even though my photos arent that great it was still a good day for them

Early out friday
I was off at 2pm and matt got off work early so off to the river we went. it was a pretty slow day with only a handful of fish seen. we got a couple to the net but it was pretty uneventful for the quality of water fished.

Dirty but not chocolate
Headed over to a piece that ive been waiting to fish since spring. the flows were still up a little but plenty fishable. the water was pretty dirty but not chocolaty. ive had good days in that staind water during the spring when the flows are less but hadnt really fished it this dirty at this time of year. didnt deter a thang. the fish were on it. alot of 18-19 inch fish to hand and did see a few 20+ inch fish.
